GEN NEXT APARTMENTS
Gen Next Apartments is a 6-12 month transitional housing program that was established for young adults ages 18-24. Once accepted into the program, residents work with caseworkers assigned to them, to ensure that they are utilizing the resources available and meeting the requirements of the program. This ensures their ability to exit successfully. While in the program residents get assistance finding employment, maintaining that employment, budgeting their finances and learning about financial planning. They also gain life skills, such as cooking and cleaning that they can take with them when they leave.

Each resident is set up in either a one bedroom apartment, if they are alone, or a two bedroom apartment if they have children. Apartments are fully furnished with a private kitchen and bathroom. Gen Next takes care of all utilities and maintenance. Residents are only required to keep the apartment clean and supply personal items, clothing and their own food. Residents have rules they must follow to remain in the housing as well as respect a curfew. A savings program is created for the residents to ensure that by the end of the 12 months they have enough savings to move out into their own housing. The training they get in program helps ensure that the have the knowledge to keep and maintain their own housing.

Education is a key factor in success and we want to set our residents up to excel once they leave our program. We offer all levels of educational courses be it needing to complete High school via G.E.D. , resume building and job training , or computer skills, we provide the resources to build a foundation for success.

LIFE SKILLS
Managing your life, is just as important as being as being able to manage your career. So we offer cooking, parenting, and cleaning classes to help residents know how to take care of their homes. We also offer budgeting, financial planning, and credit building/repair classes so when they leave our program that are able to responsibly handle their finances.

COUNSELING
Our goal is to make sure when our residents live us they are completely whole, mind, body, and soul. Therefore we have counselors on staff for individual and group counseling sessions to help them heal emotionally and mentally.
